OUR APPROACH
Understanding Comes Before Building
Key to our success is working closely with our customers — understanding what they need before we decide how to deliver it.
We have standard solutions for many applications, but we can just as easily design something bespoke when more is required. The right answer depends on your process, not a fixed catalogue.
FOUR PRINCIPLES, EVERY PROJECT
The same approach, whether it's a small tweak or a full system build.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Every project begins with a clear understanding of your operational requirements, business objectives and long-term goals. Whether we're developing a standalone automation solution, integrating existing systems or delivering a complete factory-wide control platform, we follow a structured development process to ensure every project is delivered successfully.
Discovery & Consultation
The first stage of every project is understanding your business, your processes and the challenges you're trying to overcome. Our engineers work closely with key stakeholders to identify current pain points, define project objectives and establish the functional requirements of the new system — often including site surveys, process mapping, equipment assessments and consultations with operators, engineers and management teams.
By taking the time to understand how your operation works, we can develop a solution that delivers measurable improvements rather than simply replacing existing technology.
System Design & Specification
Once the project requirements have been established, we develop a detailed system design and functional specification. This stage defines how the system will operate, how users will interact with it and how it will communicate with other equipment and software platforms — establishing hardware requirements, software architecture, network infrastructure and integration requirements.
Careful planning at this stage helps minimise project risks and ensures all stakeholders have a clear understanding of how the finished system will function.
Software Development & Testing
Our development team builds and tests the solution using industry best practices and proven development methodologies. PLC programs, HMI applications, SCADA systems, databases and software applications are developed in parallel where appropriate, with each component undergoing rigorous testing throughout the development cycle.
Factory acceptance testing (FAT) is also carried out before deployment to validate system functionality and ensure all requirements have been met.
Installation & Commissioning
Following development and testing, the system is deployed and commissioned within the production environment. Our engineers manage system installation, hardware configuration, equipment integration and on-site testing while working closely with your operational teams to minimise disruption to production.
Commissioning includes performance testing, communication verification, system validation and final acceptance procedures.
Training, Support & Continuous Improvement
Successful implementation doesn't end when a system goes live. We provide comprehensive operator and engineering training to ensure your team can confidently use and maintain the system from day one.
Our support services continue long after project completion, providing ongoing maintenance, technical support, future enhancements and system optimisation as your business evolves — helping ensure systems continue to deliver value throughout their entire lifecycle.

NEW SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
A new control, monitoring or automation system, engineered from the ground up to meet your requirements.
Developing a new manufacturing system can be a complex process. Defining requirements, selecting technologies, integrating equipment and managing implementation all require specialist expertise. When an off-the-shelf package won't fit, Tascomp designs and builds a bespoke system from scratch, providing end-to-end new system development services that help transform ideas into fully operational solutions.
Every new development is usually built on our proven HMI SCADA software, then shaped by our in-house UK engineers around your specific process, equipment, and operational goals. We work closely with our customers to understand their objectives, identify opportunities for improvement and design systems that support both current requirements and future growth — so you get a single, accountable team delivering a system that's genuinely yours.
TYPICAL NEW SYSTEM PROJECTS INCLUDE
Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in software development, automation and manufacturing operations to deliver systems that improve efficiency, increase visibility and support continuous improvement.
